Lay some time on
the bed with Isabella.

66° at 10 and fine morning, though there had evidently been a great deal of rain
in the night. Down to breakfast at 10
40/.. Sat long at breakfast, then tête-à-tête with Mrs. Norcliffe in the sitting
room. Then during luncheon, reading there
today’s Courier, then hearing the Daltons play on the piano and harp. Little
Tom Norcliffe went away at 3 10/..
Then
changed my dress and went out at 3 1/2.
Walked to Birdsall village gate and back in 1 1/4 hour.
Dressed. Dinner at 5 1/4. Coffee – tea – read a little of Volume 2,
Heraldic Anomalies.
About
hour tête-à-tête with Charlotte, and came to upstairs at 11 40/..
Grubbled
Tib just before I undressed.
