10 1/2 wrote the whole of yesterday – Breakfast at 10 1/2 in 1/2 hour – Finished
dressing – Another [nap] of near 1/2 hour – How terribly sleepy I am here – I
shall be in a state of semi torpidity all my time –

at 12 40/.. Looked at the carriage come home from Fife’s, the rumble fixed on
before as a driving seat –

Comtesse Blucher’s at
1 10/.. to ask her to walk – She going to ride, and Miss Ferrall writing letters
for St. Croix –About 1/4 hour there –
Then
walked alone along the Long Line, to the 2nd Lime Kiln – Sauntered about – Sat
about an hour with Lady Harriet and home at 4 50/.. –

Danneskiold is to be here this winter instead of going to Italy – She in a
family way – Decline going to the de Hagemanns’ this evening and dining there
tomorrow on the plea of having a German lesson – but will dine there on Monday
and fix about going to Elsineur – Say I think it too cold for her to go –

de Hagemann cannot be absent more than 4 days – I may cross over to
Sweden – Can do quite well with a laqs de Place –
Dinner
at 5 50/.. to 7 10/.. having 1/2 hour’s nap – wrote to ‘Monsieur Christiani’
to say I should be glad to take a German lesson tomorrow evening and ask if
7 1/2 will suit him –
From
7 1/4 to 10 3/4 and afterwards (after having had Eugénie) till 12 at my traveling
accounts –
