Fine morning. F 61 12° at 8 1/4 –

Out at 8 1/4 by the Frederick’s Canal across the wooden bridge to Saint Saviour’s Church and beyond along the water as far as I could go –

Back at 10 – Breakfast – Read the Hamburg Reporter of 20th instante mense

Had Mr. Christiani about 12 for about an hour – To come tomorrow at 9 3/4 to 10 to begin my course of lessons – Did not ask his price – Would send a man to give lesson at 3 marks to Thomas

Changed my dress – At the de Hagemanns’ at 1 55/.. – They took Miss Ferrall and myself to the wood adjoining to the great Park – An hour’s pretty walk in the former, and just peeped into the latter – Good old oak and beech timbers in both –

Back at 5 25/.. – Dinner at 5 50/.. – Coffee – Madame ---- who lives opposite to the Blucher’s, and 2 gentlemen in the course of the evening – The Danish minister just returned from Lisbon, and the ditto minister returned from Rio Janiero – Miss Ferrall dined with us, and Comtesse Blucher came in the evening – Tea at 9 handed – Wine and water on the table, as usual, nobody took any, between 10 and 11 – Agreeable evening –

Home at 11 1/2 – Very fine day – F 64° now at 12 tonight  -- Sat up reading the Copenhagen Guidebook that Mr. Christiani had [left], with Kotzebue’s memoirs, while I was out --
