No kiss.
Ready
in an hour. Breakfast at 8 3/5.
Ann
off to the school at 8 35/.. – Off myself at 9 35/.., at which hour, F 48 1/2°
and fine sunshiny morning but high wind –
Walked
back with Ann (by the new road) and came in at 11 10/.. –
Dressed
– At 12 Ann and I read prayers in 1/2 hour to my aunt and Oddy and our new
make-shift lady’s maid, Mary Rhodes, who came on Tuesday, and John – Sat with
my aunt while got her luncheon –
At
the school again at 2 5/.. – At church at 3 – Mr. Wilkinson did all the duty –
preached 27 minutes from Jonah iv. 6 and 7.
At
Cliff hill at
4 1/2 for 35 minutes and home at 5 1/2 – Found Marian in the garden – took her
to see the great 5 ton stone, and the
Cascade bridge –
Dinner
at 6 1/4 – Coffee. Some time with my
father and Marian till 8 35/..Read tonight’s newspaper (Morning Herald) till 9
3/4 – Then 20 minutes with my aunt –
Fine
day. F 48° now at 10 1/4 p.m. –
