Sunday 26
..
..
No kiss. My
cold very bad – Hardly any voice at all – Breakfasted in bed on a
tea-cake and a large basin of hot tea, which threw me into a perspiration which
continued till about 1 when a basin of warm broth (I had put a little salt into
it) stopt it –
Ann went to church at 2 and got
back at 4 3/4 – very good and attentive – I lay in bed the whole day – only
getting up for about 1/4 hour at 9 for the bed to be made.
Sat up in Ann’s flannel dressing
gown and my greatcoat over all – Glad to get back into bed – Felt tired –
Fine frosty morning, Ann says,
and fine day till between 1 and 2 when it began to snow (– small snow) and continued
the rest of the day more or less, that the ground was white in the evening –
