Breakfast over at 10 55/.. – At church at 11 5/.. Just after the 1st 2 or 3 prayers – Mr. Camidge preached 26 minutes from Genesis X 4 IX.18 –

Drove from church to chez Madame Ocouloff, and 50 minutes there till 1 55/.. – Very civil – To come to us at 1 tomorrow –

Home from Madame Ocouloff’s and found very civil note from Madame Apraxin, asking if our plans were fixed and if she should send the letter for the governor of Tiflis – Just read it and dressed.

To our boulevard – Ann and I walked 1 5/.. hour (3 turns).  Réaumur -3 1/2° in the snow –

Madame Ocouloff had asked us to go in the evening – The children to perform again as before and the governor of Astrakan’s lady to be there – Once thought of going there for an hour or 2, and then to Princess Olga Dolgorouky, but somehow all this fell through, and we spent the evening at home –

Wrote and sent by George at 5 50/.. civil note in answer to ‘Madame Madame Apraxin’

Dinner over at 6 55/.. – We walked about the salon a little – Tea at 8 – Before and after till now 12 3/4, wrote out Friday and to the end of the last page (of yesterday).

Fine day – Réaumur 13° on my table and 12 ° on the console now at 12 3/4 tonight –
