Thursday 22

9 1/2

11 55/60

Thinking of π Mariana –

Came upstairs at 11.  Copied my letter to Miss Vallance and that to Charlotte – Wrote 2 pages to Charlotte Norcliffe and 3 pages to Isabella –

Went downstairs a little after 5 – In the evening, read the first 74 pages of my uncle’s Edition (duodecimo 1726) of Addison’s ‘Dialogues upon the usefulness of Ancient medals.’

Very fine day. Barometer 1 1/2 degree below fair. Fahrenheit 42 1/2° at 9 p.m. –

My throat pretty well this evening and my cold perhaps better –

Came upstairs at 11 10/60 –
