Before breakfast, did Examples 9, and 10,page 208, volume 1, Hutton, then turned back to Evolution in Common Arithmetic and extracted a square root or two – Came upstairs at 11 – from then till __ extracting square and cube roots, and left off at Example 1, page 87, volume __, Hutton –

From 1 to 3, from page 49 to 133, volume 2, Léontine de Blondheim.

In the afternoon, John Robinson called again about this business with John Howarth at the Pump –

At 4, my Aunt and I set off walking – Went to Lee lane, thence to Skout hall, across the brook, past lower and Upper Limedhouse almost to Northowram, then turned down along the side of Blakehill to Shibden mill, and thence by Godley home at 6 10/60 – having been out 2 hours and 10 minutes, and walked perhaps above 5 miles –

In the evening and during supper, read from page 133 to 220, end of volume 2, Léontine de Blondheim –

Damp and thick early in the morning, but afterwards a fine day – Frosty towards evening – Barometer 1 degree below fair, Fahrenheit 31° at  9 p.m.

Came upstairs at 10 3/4, and then wrote the afternoon part of this journal of today –
