Friday 30 

Comfortable enough at the Red Lion.  Wareham a neat, pretty little town –

Had the woman of the house to sit with me at breakfast –

Everybody says Mr. William or George Bankes would have come in ahead and Corfe and Dorchester against reform – Lord Ashley well received – but all the labourers and scamps of Wareham hired and sent off to Dorchester to make a shew of hands for Ponsonby – Many will now be against reform that were for it – All Poole for it – because chiefly dissenters –
