at which hour, I down to breakfast – Fine, mild, autumnal morning – Breakfast
at 10 –
At church at 10 40/.. – 26
1/2 minutes from 1 Timothy 1.15 –
Called at the door of Lord
James Stuart – Home about 2 1/2 – Sauntered in the garden – Walked 1/2 hour with
Vere in the park – Then about an hour after walked with, 40 minutes in ditto –
Flirting. Evident
she does not dislike that or me. Would live
with me, I think, if asked and at liberty I felt
a little, and perhaps was more interested than
she would have been with anybody else in petticoats. It seems Charles Stuart was in earnest. She says he will be glad by and by that she
was not!
Dressed – Dinner at 7 – Afterwards
coffee – Nobody would have tea. Looking
over prints – All came up together at 11 55/..
Very fine day – Fahrenheit
