dull hazy morning. F 57° at 7 1/2 in my room and 38° at 8 10/.. in the balcony

Out
at 8 1/2. Walked reading French vocabulary, to the 3 mile stone, London road –
gathered a bouquet of primroses for Miss Hobart, and back at 10 40/.. –
Dressed; breakfast at 10 55/.. Came upstairs at 11 3/4 – Read the paper – Asleep 20 minutes – As long downstairs with Miss H- –
At
my desk at 1 1/2 and till 6 5/.. Finished my account with Mariana, looked over
papers of one sort of other, and copied out 1/2 of a paper on [Pathix’s?] writing
on Doctor Stewart’s plan, lent me by Miss H- –
Dressed – Dinner at 6 35/.. in 40 minutes. Music – Coffee at 8 –won a hit and lost a gammon at backgammon. From 9 50/.. to 10 50/.., read from page 467 to end of 503, end of Chapter 51, Volume IX, Gibbon –
Came
upstairs at 11 10/.. and to my room at 11 1/4 –
Mrs.
Morland called today and brought her sister and sister-in-law. Mr. – Morland,
and Captain Gordon called – Did not see any of them –
Finish
day – F 60 at 11 1/2 p.m. in my room and 36 at 12 in the balcony.
